Anna is a Principal at Civic Consulting Alliance. She joined the organization as a Senior Associate in January 2019. She primarily focuses on Civic Consulting Alliance's Safety and Justice platform serving clients at the City, County, and State. Her clients inclide the Chicago Police Department, the Mayor's Office of Violence Reduction / Public Safety, Cook County criminal justice stakeholders such as the Cook County Office of the President, and the State of Illinois Office of Firearm Violence Prevention. Additionally, she supports efforts focused on whole school safety with Chicago Public Schools.
Prior to joining Civic Consulting Alliance, Anna worked in the Office of the Illinois Secretary of Education where she advised state leaders on issues including early childhood education expansion, K-12 accountability, and post-secondary access and completion. She oversaw a number of statewide initiatives in the role, including the implementation of Illinois' K-12 evidence-based funding formula, strategy for public higher education reform, and growth of work-based learning and apprenticeship opportunities statewide. Before her move to Chicago, she spent several years in Miami in both consulting and public education. She worked as the Manager of Consulting at Radical Partners where she helped social impact organizations grow and scale their operations. She also spent five years in Miami-Dade County’s lowest-performing schools as a middle school teacher, high school literacy coach, and district curriculum specialist.
Anna received a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Gender Studies from The University of Notre Dame and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy. She is a former competitive figure skater and enjoys trying Chicago's many amazing restaurants.
